Common questions
What do “updates” include?
A license covers every 1.x release of Sayburst: fixes, new features and model support. If there's ever a 2.0, it may be a paid upgrade — and the 1.x version you have keeps working, with no expiry.
Are there ongoing costs?
No subscription. Sayburst runs on your Mac, so it doesn't cost us anything per dictation. If you connect a cloud writing provider, you pay that provider directly with your own key; local providers like Ollama are free.
What counts as a Mac?
Each Mac where Sayburst is activated uses one spot. Deactivate a Mac in Sayburst's settings or on the license page to free its spot.
What happens when the trial ends?
New dictations stop until you activate a license. Your history, notes, settings and exports stay available.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes — within 14 days of purchase, just reply to your receipt email. See the refund policy.
